Integration of the Old and New Increasing rate of net migration The function of this proposal is a co-living residency between the older generation and the increased number of migrants who are arriving in the country. The proposed programmes include both permanent accommodation for elderly as well as temporary shelter for incoming migrants alongside hotel units and additional commercial amenities that are open to both the public and residents. This proposal looks to influence a change in the current social issues of the area by helping to accommodate those who are in desperate need of help. Employment Social Deprivation 02 By creating a integration for those newly arrive population through the help of the older generation, it helps both usergroups to reconnect with society and resolve their issue of alienation as some older generation can still be a significant and important member of society. The proposal will offer job opportunities and accommodation and seek to reconnect the ‘abandoned and alienated’ citizens to the society by offering a source of contribution that may benefit the society or economy as well as themselves.
