Mahnoor Sheikh
The 22 square metre mobile house is a rectilinear pod made out of reused shipping containers with one end featuring a cantilevered balcony . The design makes best use of every square inch of space and the built-in components , even the walls , can be adjusted to meet their purpose most effectively . The interior space can be totally re-arranged in just a few seconds , thus allowing , a variety of combinations within the space . The whole house adapts according to specific needs for the use of space at the time , enabling infinite spaces within a house .

This project aims to combine the public and the private . The bottom half of the building hosts an office working space with an open plan layout and the top half acts as a hotel . A horizontal void cuts through the centre of the building which acts as public space which brings the two parts of the building together . The hotel is raised higher on stilts to open up the public floor and allow for better view points from the hotel rooms
