Vertical Park The site is located in an area which lacks in public green spaces and does not encourage a healthy lifestyle. Children in the area are deprived of open spaces to play and interact in which has a bad impact on their mental and physical growth. Office workers live a monotonous life, spending most of their time in closed office spaces. Healthy eating and living is not given importance. This design proposal aims to promote a healthy lifestyle for not only the local people but also for people working in the area. In collaboration with Bankside Open Spaces Trust, the building will host a hydroponic food growing system which will be run by the people, for the people. The building will serve as a vertical park for people of all ages in order to encourage social interaction and spending time outdoors. 01 04 02 05 X Southwark Street Southwark London SE1 1RU 07 [01] Gym Visual [02] Park Visual [03] Ground Floor Visual [04] Hydroponic Restaurant Visual [05] Nursery Visual [06] South Section [07] Exploded Axo 06 03
