The Green Nest
The Green Nest is a residential
block containing an art house,
cinema, women’s centre and
accommodation for those
experiencing domestic violence.
The building will constitute two
buildings with five walkways
connecting the building across
the middle section. The taller
residential building has six floors
and the other has five floors, both
connected with the Women’s
Centre in the smaller building on
the top three floors.
The lower two floors will have
an art house, a central core lift
along with a cinema. Underground
parking will be available for
residents and visitors. Communal
space is on the ground and
first floor. Looking into social
enterprises around the Woolwich
area and site analysis I will seek
solutions to research the social
need for the area in order to make
a section of the building accessible
24 hours a day. Sheltered housing
incorporating Her women’s
counselling service in Woolwich
will have joint responsibility
for visits for assistance with
counselling support.
