The concept proposes adapting
small homes within the inner
districts of London (i.e. Redbridge,
Barking) and inserting a system
that allows the users to expand
when needed and make use
of the space for whatever their
requirements would be. It’s ideally
an extension to the downstairs
of homes, which turns the space
into one communal area for
the family to bond under. The
structure is adaptable in a physical
form meaning it is flexible to the
families. The inclusivity is that the
partitioning walls can be used to
create a private room and extend
out, or open the space to latch
with the existing floor. A benefit of
the system is that, since it would
be modular, it can be changed
over time.
