Fern Hill Start-ups
Since then the area has matured
and I wish to bring it back to its
roots by keeping the original
look and feel of the building and
local history. This will be done
by opening up the building and
shining a new, much brighter light
on the inside.
A big part of the area’s growth
was thanks to the start-ups and
now that the area has matured
it seems to host fewer start-ups
even though it is a much
desired area.

This proposal is takes an old,
soon to be demolished, car park
and gives it a new life. Clerkenwell
has now become an established
centre for creative industries with
a particular focus on design start-
ups, originally attracted to the
area by the availability of cheap,
shared warehouse space.
