Mechaponica
The overall programme of
this project is that a brewery/
distillery co-exists with the other
programmes going on within the
site such as the aquaponic, fish &
insect farming. The project aims
to move away from the traditional
and unsustainable methods
of farming and to develop a
modern method of farming. All
these programmes help each
other to exist in a sense as the
fish farm helps the apples grow
in the aquaponic farm and then
the apples are used to feed the
brewery. This ends up being
a continuous cycle which also
allows visitors to the site such as
school children, who learn about
how important one process is to
another.
