With Technology advancing at such a
rapid pace, especially in medicine and
health, It is clear that the UK will be a
major player at the forefront of this sector,
due to the NHS. Advanced prosthesis is
one sector of health that is more needed
than ever. Around the world conflicts of
all kinds have left thousands with lost
limbs and disabilities. To combat this
damning fact we must give people more
than just hope, but results. MIT is a leader
in `Biomechatronics’ a combination of
biology, mechanics and electronics. This
scheme aims to expand the Guys campus
neurology speciality into this field of study.
While also opening up disability to the
public, changing its perception.
