OASIS
The concept is to provide an
easy transportability, low cost
& Sustainable solutions of
cleansing. The Oasis (inflated
by a simple football pump)
organic form comes from a
series of research to how organic
architecture relives physiological
stress. The proposal finds a
solution in nature, Human biology
& Biomimicry to support Syria, the
worlds biggest refugee crisis.
1. The structures petals store
water efficiently than any other
man made structure inspired by
the Labelia plant found in the on
Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa
2. The solar fabric material uses
the suns natural light forcing a
conversion of heat which creates
a current of water to the top
providing clean shower-able
water, inspired by how the Human
body pumps water to the human
muscle when under tension.
3. The structural skin mimics the
thermal massing properties of a
banana and how it allows light
and heat transfer to keep the
centred cells warm to grow.
4. Hatay is a prime example of
one of Turkey’s 22 refugee camps
to support 2.1 million Syrian
people under the Turkish prime
minister Ahmet Davutoglu. Hatay
refugee camp is also suffering
from water Scarcity, alongside
camps in Jordan.
