Devonne Covington represents the sheer Determination
required to achieve your goals. We believe her story will
inspire you to never give up in pursuit of your better self.
On a windy and stormy Fall day on Fort Lauderdale
Beach, we sat down with Devonne Covington to get the
scoop on how this amazing young woman has managed
to achieve so much in such a short period of time. As we
prepared Devonne for her photo shoot and interview, we
couldn’t help but notice how nervous she was. In fact, I
sensed it was something beyond just nervousness as it is
a common condition to feel a bit nervous at the thought
of photographers, film crews and beauty professionals all
fussing over you.
Little did I know however, that my suspicion that this was
more than simple nervousness would soon prove to valid.
In order to properly frame our story of Devonne’s amazing
journey, you should first understand who she is today.
Devonne is a single mother of four amazing children. She
is a graduate of Alabama State University where she earned
her bachelor’s degree in Special Education a Master’s Degree
in Special Education and as if that isn’t enough she obtained
a second master degree in Management Application
Education from Nova University and is currently enrolled
in pursuit of a third Master’s Degree.
Not only is this amazing woman raising a family of four
while pursuing higher education, she’s also an entrepreneur
with several different business interests. Devonne is also a
Realtor, a Notary and Co Owner of Pamper Me Too Mobile
Spa For Kids.
We wanted to know, what drives this woman to achieve so
much, so soon. During my interview it became apparent
to me Devonne has a Super Power. That super power is
Determination. What is usually a trait that we are all blessed
with Devonne has managed to harness into a seemingly
unstoppable force that calls on her to exist in a constant
state of reinvention. But where did this come from? We
know that pressure and time can turn a chunk of coal into
a beautiful diamond. During our interview we would not
only learn how Devonne developed her super powers, we
would also learn how and why she was so nervous about
telling her story. You see, Devonne was about to reveal a
truth she had barely revealed to herself. She was preparing
to free herself yet another orbit in her evolution to her
better self.
