brutally raped, beaten, robbed and soaked in someone else’s urine in a wooded area outside her home in Baltimore Maryland. As degrading and humiliating as this sounds, the most painful part of this horrifi c thing was how she was treated aft erwards. Aft er reporting the viloation to the local police Tyde did everything in her power to help the Police fi nd the person who assaulted her. According to Tyde, nothing could have prepared her for the level of insensitivity and outright incompetence she experienced in her pursuit for justice. No charges were ever fi led in the case. Just when things couldn’t possibly get any worse, Tyde discovered that she was pregnant as a result of the rape.
