a new sound from the atl When did you start performing? I started doing music as a child, playing the piano, drums, and writing sheet music etc. I started using lyrics as poetry in Elementary school, and I’ve been writing raps and lyrics ever since. Once I learned I could freestyle I was rapping every day. Name some of the artists who have inspired or influenced you? Miles Davis, James Brown, Tupac, Big L, The Dramatics, Snoop Dogg, and Outkast. I was always influenced by a lot of genres and styles growing up. I’ve always been a fan of music especially music with substance, I thought it was cool to be able to listen to great sounds and substance. “Diamond in the Back” is in my top 5 songs ever. How would you describe your style? I would describe my style as abstract and conscious. A blend of all genres and soundscapes, I like to give insight to scenarios and situations myself and other millennials go through over various tracks, it’s a wave for sure, high energy but solid. What separates you from other artists? What separates me from other artists is my content, style, sound, and overall agenda. A lot of artists are 30-40 speaking & acting like they are teenagers or in their 20’s which is lame, I’m a 90$ Baby making music for 90’s babies as well as giving insight to older generations on why we do what we do and think like we think . What I’m doing is genuine in a world full of gimmicks and it’s not hard to tell. URBAN | 39
