Shout out to my team. Shout out to people like you; extended family. If it wasn’t for you guys, nobody could really care. I’m still proving a lot of people wrong in this world.

U.G. Digital Mag: That’s good that you stay strong and prove people wrong. That’s part of the purpose. It’s clear that you have what it takes. I remember when Bone Thugs dropped their last album, and the song you did with them stood out so big. Your voice on that track is what was most memorable for a lot of people.

Ricco Barrino: Right. Like we said, it’s a blessing. I don’t know what comes next. I have everyday problems, but that’s what fuels the passion, pain, ups, and downs in my music. We have a strong pedigree as you know. You know the bloodline, and history. I’m not a quitter by any means.

U.G. Digital Mag: In terms of Ferrari Infidelity, talk about the EP and what you are working to build prior to the album?

Ricco Barrino: It’s a way of life that most are not used to. The fast lane, fast cars, fast women, money. A lot of artists fall victim to that life. I’ve learned through family, watching how that lifestyle can destroy you, and at the same time, like a fast car, if you get in a Ferrari and take off, you have to know what you’re doing or it can be fatal. I chose that title because I feel like I’m one who can handle the pressure. I hand craft my songs like an Italian made car. I named it Ferrari Infidelity to give it that bad boy feel. I’m a gentleman, but a bad boy at the end of the day. I’m not perfect, but I know how to handle the lifestyle. At one point, I couldn’t. God made it at this point for people to listen to me. Now I can embrace it. I can stand with my head high and be a boss. It’s a lifestyle. A brand. A type of music. Something new. Something fast. Something elegant.

U.G. Digital Mag: With this EP, what ways will it be available to everyone, and how does it lead into the full-length album?

Ricco Barrino: Again, with the blessing that God has given me, we will put it out everywhere. A lot of people have opened their doors to the project. As far as the internet, you can find it anywhere, from your LiveMixtape, all the way up to Spotify. Apple Music will distribute the bigger project. We’ll hit the road.
