U.G. Digital Mag: What is next? The album has done so well. What’s coming next?

Young Turk: I’m already working on Young N Thuggin 3. I just talk to the kids man. I go to schools. I’m not like I’m too good. I’m available for all that. Music is just half of it. I have my book. Everything is my life, what I overcame and when through. I give them my story. I want to do that for the rest of my life. I want to continue to change the way I live. If I do that, then I feel like I’m doing what God intended me to do. It’s hard getting people’s attention. When you a dope fiend and that’s all people know, it’s hard for them to believe you changed. But when you go to other cities where they don’t know you, they supportive. Then the people who know you see it and realize that you really have changed. Now I both and it all works together. It’s like a domino effect. I see a lot of rappers opening up, humbling themselves, and talking about God. Ain’t nothing wrong with that. We all came up in the church man. That’s just what it is. I stick to that, nothing more and nothing less.

U.G. Digital Mag: That’s so true man. More artists are definitely opening up,, and showing their families. Rappers like T.I. and Nelly doing their own reality shows, and so on and so forth. It’s a good thing man to see that change.

Young Turk: My wife and I, we just did an interview for 2 reality shows, but the only way I would do it is if I could tell my real story about the heroine and cocaine, and my addiction. I have to tell them about my time in the penitentiary. By the grace of God, I’m back. I have to tell them about my wife overcoming breast cancer, and about my child in New Orleans, my mama, how my dad and my brother got killed. I want to talk about what’s real. They came at me and wanted me to be something that I wasn’t. I don’t want to do nothing that’s just going to make somebody else famous. I’m not with that. If I can’t do that, then I don’t want to do a show. I want to show how we’re overcoming these obstacles. I’m a prime example.
