U . G . Digital Mag : What is the one thing you want people to say when you name comes up ? What do you want them to take away from your music ?
Jay Evans : I want them to get a sense that it is coming from the heart , more or less . I ’ m not just following a trend . It ’ s cool to turn up to my music , but it ’ s also cool to turn down . My music is a mixture of different things that will open your mind to different types of music . It ’ s not your typical turn up type of music basically .
U . G . Digital Mag : In terms of people finding you online , where can they find you ?

U . G . Digital Mag : Now obviously , you contributed music to Sons 2 The Grave . Were you in the movie at all ?
Jay Evans : I wasn ’ t in the movie . I ’ m trying to build that aspect of my career now . The cast is amazing though .
U . G . Digital Mag : Most definitely . We actually had a full issue for the film which was great . We had the opportunity to feature much of the cast . I believe the movie will do very well . When are they looking at a soundtrack , or I would assume that one would be come ?
Jay Evans : They ’ re working on things now . Once the process is finished , it should be out real soon . On the same token , we have so much music it ’ s crazy . We have High Rollin , Choices , Make It Right , and so much more . I ’ ve gotten good feedback from High Rollin , so a video is coming for that very soon .
Jay Evans : I have a feeling more people will do it . it ’ s a great outlet and another way to show your talent . It ’ s a really good vibe . It can be frustrating at times , but it ’ s well worth it .
U . G . Digital Mag : As much as I love music , I couldn ’ t imagine trying to put music together for the entire film . My hats go off to you .
Jay Evans : After you go through one or two things , and then have to figure certain things out , and if certain things go together , it gets pretty crazy . It ’ s a lot of work , but it ’ s worth it at the end of the day . Have Faith Productions brings out the best in me and I ’ m blessed to be a part of them .
U . G . Digital Mag : Did you ever second guess and of your selections for the film ?
Jay Evans : A million times . you want to make sure it ’ s touching somebody , or striking a nerve with the audience .
U . G . Digital Mag : I can ’ t wait to check it out and hear all of your work . I ’ ve heard repeatedly that it ’ s a great film , and I can only imagine from the storyline that it ’ s going to be awesome . In terms of final comments , what ’ s the one thing you want to leave the audience with ?
Jay Evans : Any artist wanting to do this , stay humble , know who you are as a person , know your self worth , and be aware of your surroundings . U . G . Digital Mag : What are you most proud of in your career ?
Jay Evans : I ’ m most proud of the movie . It ’ s a big accomplishment for me . I ’ ve never actually composed a movie before . This movie is my biggest accomplishment .
U . G . Digital Mag : How difficult was composing ? Was it hard to get into a good groove ?
Jay Evans : No , I believe I had the proper guidance . They gave me different feels of which way to go . I asked my brother because he does films as well , and he gave me a little science about that .
U . G . Digital Mag : Are you looking to continue composing ? What do you feel like you gained the most ?
Jay Evans : I definitely want to do more . Shouts out to Have Faith Productions . They really opened my eyes to another side of this business . It was a blessing for them to bring it to me because it really opened my eyes to different ways of doing music . I definitely want to do more .
U . G . Digital Mag : The fact you did this , it really shines a light on how much more we can do in music and film .
