UoP5e is the second electric racecar designed by UoP Racing. Having
tackled the challenge of building a competitive electric car, the team
focused on making it faster, maintaining the successful ingredients that
distinguished the previous car, namely low weight, simplicity and
reliability.

Chassis
Given the experience on
designing and building CF
monocoques, UoP5e chassis
is based on the latest version,
focusing mainly on weight
reduction and manufacturing
simplification, as well as
better
integration
of
subsystems. Having a very
torsional stiff chassis on the
previous car proved beneficial for handling and suspension tuning.
A target weight of 25kg was set, while maintaining cockpit dimensions and
suspension mounting points, allowing for minimal-only changes on the
suspension system.
