The Media & Technology specialisation offers lawyers an opportunity for study and
research in some of the most dynamic areas of legal practice and public policy
development.
The courses offered in this specialisation explore challenging new issues across areas
such as media regulation, defamation, privacy, censorship, internet regulation and
cybercrime, enabling students to acquire expertise in these emerging fields.
UNSW’s highly regarded team of media and IT experts, and the research centres with
which they are associated – the Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII) and the
Cyberspace Law and Policy Community - are at the forefront of research and practice
through the receipt of numerous competitive research grants and engagement in Australian
and international policy developments.
