Do you require additional English language support in
your Foundation Studies? Join our Extended Program
to improve your English skills and at the same time get
a head start on your academic program. To enter our
Extended Program, students must have completed at
least 11 years of schooling or equivalent, and have an
IELTS of 5.0 with a 5.0 in writing and 4.5 minimum in
all bands (or equivalent).

St andard Program

Your academic pathway that leads straight to the
first year of your chosen university degree program.
To enter our Standard Program, you must have completed
11 or 12 years of schooling (eg GaoEr/GaoSan, O/A
levels, SMA 2/3, HKDSE forms 5/6) with good grades
and strong English language proficiency. Students
should have an IELTS of 6.0 (or equivalent) with a 5.0
in all bands (or equivalent), and may apply using
Semester 1 (Year 11 or 12) school results.

St andard Plus Program

If you don’t meet the entry requirements for the Standard
Program, or if you need a slightly longer academic
program with a slower study pace, choose the Standard
Plus Program to help you transition with ease into your
university degree. To enter our Standard Plus Program,
you must have completed 11 years of schooling or
equivalent, and have an IELTS of 5.5 with a minimum
5.0 in all bands (or equivalent).

Transition Program

Do you require a short intensive program to enable
you to enter university? To enter our Transition Program
you should have completed a matriculation program
or a senior high school qualification. For example
Gaokao, HKDSE, IB Diploma, SMA-3 or A-Levels.
The Transition Program offers Physical Science,
Life Science, Commerce and Actuarial Streams only.
You should have an IELTS of 6.0 (or equivalent) with
a 5.5 in writing and a minimum of 5.0 in all other
bands (or equivalent).

PROGRA M WITH UNSW GLOBAL?
Foundation Studies Programs build a strong academic
base from which students can successfully progress
to UNSW Sydney. In fact, approximately 85% of UNSW
Foundation Students are eligible to enter a university
program upon completion of the course.
Tutorial classes generally include 18 students,
so each learner receives individual attention.
And if you need additional tutoring, you can
attend voluntary consultations.
