Part-time English
A part-time English course is not recognised as the principal course for the purposes of a student visa , however , students who have a student visa may do a part-time course in conjunction with their principal course .
Part-time English courses are available in :
• IELTS Test Preparation ( ITP )
• Pronunciation and Clear Speaking
• Communication Skills for Business .
Language Teacher Education
We offer a variety of language teacher education programs ranging from initial pre-service TESOL qualifications to in-service professional development courses . These programs have been designed to provide qualifying trainees with the essential experience and skills required to successfully teach English to international students .
English Testing
UNSW Institute of Languages is an authorised test centre for the following internationally recognised English language tests :
• IELTS ( International English Language Testing System )
• TOEFL ( Test of English as a Foreign Language )
• OET ( Occupational English Test ).
Part-time Languages
We offer an extensive range of short language courses for students wishing to learn a language for business , travel and tourism , cultural interests or to maintain their level of fluency .
Courses include : Chinese ( Mandarin ), Japanese , Korean , Italian , French , Spanish , German , Indonesian , Arabic , Russian and Portuguese ( Brazilian ).
