Home-Maker

Artist Fliss Quick is a new mum, and as a conciquence of finding herself more firmly bound to the home, she has embraced her new roles 'for work purposes' and set about observing her own 'housewifery'.

In 'Home-maker', Fliss invites us to follow her through an investigation of domesticity. Through performance, relics and confessional 'exhibit' labels Fliss takes us on a narrative journey of the home

Displayed amongst the debris of normal family life, 'Home-maker' is an exhibition of works which look to examine the nature of 'woman's work' through provocative re-framing and which seek to explicitly situate the artist in relation to mother, wife and homemaker.
