COURSE FEES
The cost of studying a Foundation Degree in Early Years or Teaching & Learning Support at Cardinal Newman College is £ 4,995 . Student loans and grants are available to partially or completely cover the cost of these fees which you can apply for in order to support the cost of your studies .
Students can apply for both a Tuition Fee Loan and a Maintenance Loan if the course starts in or after August 2016 .
TUITION FEE LOAN
The Tuition Fee Loan is paid directly to the university or College you are studying with and covers the cost of the course fees . For the Foundation Degree Courses at Cardinal Newman College , if eligible , you can apply for a loan for your tuition fee amount .
MAINTENANCE LOAN
If applying for a maintenance loan you may need to give information on your household income in order to be assessed for your entitlement . The loan is paid directly into your account at the start of the term and is repayable . A full-time student , living at home can receive up to £ 6,904 . If you are a full-time student living away from home , and outside London you can receive up to £ 8,200 . EU students are NOT eligible to apply for a maintenance loan .
LOAN REPAYMENTS
Loan repayments will not begin until the April after you finish your course and not until you are earning over £ 21,000 . These loan repayments will be taken directly from your salary , like tax or national insurance .
