received his certificate last 08th August 2016 from a three
days seminar conducted by PEME Consultancy, Inc./DOLE, a
licensed safety and health consultant from the Philippines.
• 23 Sept…The UAP Brunei Chapter 2nd Anniversary and
Induction was held at the Star Lodge Hotel, Jerudong. UAP
National President Ar. Guillermo Hisancha was present along
with SG Rene Heray
• 4 December…In conjunction with the National Architecture
Week Celebration 2016, the Chapter invited Prof. Gerard
Rey Lico, a leading resource person on Filipino Architecture,
for a lecture and discussion on the evolution of Philippine
Architecture and History spanning from the pre and post
colonial time, the Marcos era, and up to the present time.
2017
• 25 February…During the GMM of the current fiscal year
held on 25th February 2017, the Membership has elected
their new set of Chapter Officers for the Fiscal Year 2017-
18. The newly elected set of Chapter Officers is composed
of: Chapter President: Alan F. Filio; VP for Programs & Dev’t:
Hernando J. Hautea Jr.; VP for Operations: Rey Anthony I.
Castillo; Secretary: Romeo J. Nabong II; Treasurer: Lilian S.
Tampoc-Pena; Auditor: Jennefer F. Pardilla
• 28 April…The Chapter was adjudged for the second
straight time as the “Best New Foreign Based Chapter in
group 3” and bagged for the first time the “Best World Day of
Architecture Program” award during the Natcon43.
• 18 Sept…The UAP Brunei Chapter held its Third Year
Anniversary Celebration and Induction Ceremonies at the Star
Lodge Hotel, Jerudong, Brunei Darussalam. Honored guests
from the Filipino community in Brunei graced the event
including the Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam,
His Excellency Mr. Meynardo LB Montealegre, Third Secretary
and Vice Consul Melvin Almonguera, and other key Philippine
Embassy officials, representatives from the Filipino Association
in Brunei led by its President, Mr. Rodolfo Adducul. UAP
Secretary General Ar. Renato A. Heray led the induction rites
of the Chapter Officers and New Members for FY2017-2018.
• 15 Oct…The UAP Brunei Chapter celebrated the World
Architecture Day 2017 thru an “Eco-Walk” held at Bukit
Shabandar Recreational Park and Pantai Tungku Beach
• 5 Nov…The UAP Brunei Chapter successfully conducted
its first ever CPD seminar on Design Build Services and the
ASEAN Architects Registry. The event was graced by the
presence of two prominent members of the Professional
Regulatory Board of Architecture (PRBArc), Hon. Robert S.
Sac, FUAP, ASEAN Ar. who is the present Chairman of the
PRBArc and Hon. Robert M. Mirafuente, FUAP, ASEAN Ar.,
APEC Ar, member of PRBArc and Chairman of the CPD Council
for Architecture.
