UAP Brunei

It is with great joy and pride that I congratulate the UAP Asia Pacific Council on the occasion of its formal inauguration .
With recent developments in the ASEAN region , particularly the Agreement on Mutual
Recognition Arrangement ( AMRA ) on Architectural Services signed by the ASEAN Economic Ministers on 20 November 2007 , a bigger field was suddenly opened to the Filipino Architects to practice in the region . Thus , the need to establish close cooperation and unity among Filipino Architects based in the fast-growing Asia Pacific region becomes paramount .
As the region moves towards broader integration and recognition of its professionals , the formation of the UAP Asia Pacific Council will pave the way for greater exchange of ideas and best practices among the member-chapters as well as facilitating support structures and avenues for dialogue and interaction .
On behalf of the UAP Brunei Chapter , I would like to reaffirm our solidarity towards the APC ’ s aim of consolidating , engaging , encouraging , and supporting the chapters in the region to a greater unity and support of the larger mission and vision of the United Architects of the Philippines .
I would also like to extend my heartiest congratulations to all the Charter Officers and Members and commit our full support towards the council ’ s future plans and endeavors .
Mabuhay ang UAP APC at ang Arkitektong Pilipino !
