Seek healthy, loving, caring relationships.

Surrounding yourself with the right people makes a big difference. Getting into healthy relationships and having people that truly love and respect you for you is very good for your self-esteem. It may take some time and work to find your circle, but treasure them when you do. Hanging around or dating someone who doesn't treat you as a valuable part of their life will only hurt your self-esteem and damage your self-respect.
