I got into a nerd fight about this word, I stated that the new Iphone had no new technology built into it and that apple was no longer innovative. He went on a tangent and stated that innovation is taking something you already have and making it better. I told him to get a dictionary or ask Siri because he does not know what that word means. I said that to say this, I don't like most of the music that is being played on the radio now. I heard this one artist who was not even rhyming on the song. Is this innovation? Am I getting old? In a conference call with LL Cool J he said it best. “These new artist are doing what they can to be relevant, make money and perform”. Most of our parents did not like N.W.A. or Too $hort, EPMD, KRS1, just ice, African Bambadda and the list goes on, but they were pioneers of hip hop. So this is what I propose the new music that is not Hip hop or Rap let’s make a separate Genre for it. This way we are not tarnishing the artist and music that we love so much.
