Kelly Gneiting For State Senate, District 7 in Arizona

In what ways can we improve our election process, or is our election process fair now?

We can improve our election process by eliminating the undue influence of political parties, or by eliminating government laws that favor political parties. Wyoming has a system of election that neutralizes political parties, and is considered the freest state in the country (based on the John Birch Society’s Freedom Index Score). The many should select from the many, instead of the few selecting from the many, then the many selecting from the few.

Where should government spending be increased, and where should it be decreased?

(i.e. education environment, health care, law enforcement, transportation, welfare, etc.) Government spending money on transportation, law enforcement, and possibly the environment (in emergencies only) falls within the proper role of government. Spending money on education, healthcare and welfare do not fall within the concern of government. Government spending on these programs should be greatly decreased, with the intent on eliminating it altogether.

But if these are eliminated it will cause a ripple effect. Will the State's take up the cost? What would be a a good solution to the fund things like Education and welfare? And I agree government should have never got involved in Healthcare.

The proper role of government, as established by our Founding Fathers, was/is to protect life, liberty, and property. NOTHING else. Because citizens drive on roads, it is government's concern to ensure safe roads with safe drivers on these roads, although paying for these roads should come from a collaborative effort (taxes) of those who use them. This is part of government's duty to "protect" citizens.

Likewise with law enforcement. Concerning the environment, government should be able to notify others of a possible dangerous situation, and THAT'S ALL. Again, protection. All other areas of our environment should be left to the free market system, and talented
