First off thanks for your support for UGRW’s 1st magazine issue, Spring 2014. The Summer issue is coming out with more amazing collaborations and covers the growth of the company that only continues with the help of you guys :-) The summer has been packed with new ventures, bigger projects and of course fashion. Being nominated three times for the 8th Annual Oakland Indie Awards by our community and fans, lending supported from near and far-What better timing to enter summer 2014 with that rewarding experience .
UGRWs summer fashion show "Hardcopy," followed soon after. With the pleasure of being held at Warehouse 416, an Oakland Art gallery, UGRW is no stranger to supporting art and cohesively immersing the two worlds. The runway was covered in summer trends and local talent. I must emphasize, it's truly a remarkable experience collabing with Oakland's emerging talent-never shy or short on the creative ends. This type of environment is way over due to ignite a creative spark...it's always happening when in the "Town". The ability to connect with others of similar minds...whether it be about fashion or art we are acting as resources to each other. There talent found in Oakland shined and rendered deserved recognition.
In the coming days with the release of Summer magazine issue, and reflecting on the past few months is very much what it is to reflect on summer time itself-full of bright colors and always fun. Thanks again for all the support as UGRW continues to be a platform for unsigned and unrecognized talent.
