What is Underground Runway? Who is it? What does Underground Runway do and why should I participate? These are all questions people from the industry and community have asked. The answer is that it's a platform for creativity... if you have talent and want to advance, there is a place for you. There is a community that supports you.
Underground Runway came about through my struggle. After school I didn't know what to do next. I didn't know how to network or who to network with. Coordinating and conceptualizing my own shoots, I learned first-hand how to network. Later, attending SF City College provided hands-on experience which made the process fun and hopeful. Becoming part of different modeling groups, meeting photographers, and working with various websites, I was able to form a community around me to bring fashion concepts to life. It has been difficult to play so many roles in the company. However, it has been a treat to be able to learn and understand exactly what it takes for Underground Runway to grow and to continue to be a resource to the community and industry. We are all a resource to each other.
