B.A. Positive Human Development
and Social Change
This pioneering program blends psychology and business
for students interested in social change, with classes in
peace studies, secular ethics, positive psychology and
contemplative studies.
B.S. Human Ecology
Human ecology is an interdisciplinary field that studies the
relationship between humans and their economic, social
and natural environments. It strives to develop a means by
which sustainability could be achieved. A B.S. in Human
Ecology from Life University has two tracks in which
students can focus: People, Politics and Social Change
(PPSC) specialization; and the Science, Sustainability
and Resource Management (SSRM) specialization. Within
the PPSC track, students will explore the challenges of
sustainable living and how these ideals may be used to
develop sustainable solutions to pressing issues at both
the local and global levels. In the SSRM track, students
will gain the technical skills required to audit the social,
political and policy impact of technological advancements
and will develop practical solutions to some of the most
pressing contemporary environmental, economic and
social challenges with a focus on sustainable practices.
