FOREWoRD Of all the aspects of business, the creative journey that you go through while launching a new venture from scratch, remains one of the most memorable and exciting parts of the process. This is especially so when devising a new brand. We’ve recently been immersed in the process of bringing our very first Cassia property to light, which is slated to open in Phuket, Thailand, in October 2015. I’m confident that the property will help re-define hotel residences with cutting edge design, "street art" and incredible choice. We’ve brought enhanced interactivity to the process, with games and social time in the lobby, with creative hangout spaces that allows you to mingle, make new friends and share experiences. Aside from hardware, Cassia Friends, our multitalented crew, will take care of guests and suggest great places to visit. A Phuket opening is nostalgic too, given it’s where Banyan Tree began over 20 years ago and we now have five hotels in Phuket with Cassia’s opening. In June, we’re unveiling Banyan Tree Huangshan, a superb gateway to a fascinating part of China. Elsewhere, Banyan Tree is also exploring new ways of furthering its core values of romance and sense of place: including an exciting 'spa sanctuary' room concept, featuring unlimited spa treatments for guests. Now, that's a proper escape. Within this edition, food and beverage experiences are very much on our minds too. Angsana has been putting the finishing touches to its new South East Asian restaurant concept, sure to launch some great culinary adventures for guests. As a brand embodying fun and spontaneity, Angsana is also exploring its own signature dining events, as well as exciting new digital platforms showcasing chefs videos, recipes and food articles. Yet as with any launch, it's also important that some things remain unchanged. While all our three brands will offer different experiences, the common thread remains our signature hospitality, delivered with an authentic personal touch. That resonates with our guests as much today as it did more than two decades ago, and I'm extremely proud to say that it's a big part of what keeps people coming back to us.
