UKSPA Directory 2017 Ireland | Associate Member 089 DIT is relocating to a new education and research campus in the heart of the city at Grangegorman are engaged in addressing 21st century challenges and are committed to making a significant contribution to international knowledge and enhancing Dublin’s role as Ireland’s global gateway. “Irel and’s capital cit y is our campus” Dublin is a lively European capital city with a vibrant cultural life and a large, young, student population. Currently based on six campus sites in the city centre, within five years DIT will relocate all its activities to a new education and research campus in the heart of the city at Grangegorman. The new campus will be a unique international innovation hub for the Dublin region, with education, research and health facilities co-located with industry, business incubation and community enterprise. Communit y De velopment To actively sustain Ireland’s social, cultural, technological and economic development, knowledge and technology transfer are embedded in all our programmes and activities. We actively encourage and support the development of new business ventures and continuing professional development opportunities. Our PhD programmes provide research training and professional transferable skills within a disciplinary framework.
