Birmingham Research Park provides secure, high-quality office space with conference
facilities and virtual tenancies, in a community of research-led companies. The Park
is situated on the edge of the University of Birmingham campus, and is run by Alta
Innovations Ltd, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University. Research Park
tenants benefit from access to the world-class knowledge base and facilities provided
by the University, and many have built successful businesses in sectors such as in
biotechnology, computer systems, medical diagnostics, and scientific instruments.
The Research Park is well positioned for
high-growth life science companies who
are looking for laboratory services or full
office facilities. It is close to the Institute
of Translational Medicine and the clinical-
academic partnership provided by
Birmingham Health Partners – and this
proximity can speed research and provide
more rapid assessment and quicker
adoption for new medical technologies.
