Begbroke Science Park is the only science park that is wholly owned and managed by Oxford University . It is a unique environment at the interface between start-ups , Oxford ’ s world-leading scientific research programmes , and industrial research and process development . This makes us a natural base for emerging high-tech science businesses wanting to tap into University research to create competitive advantage and drive ground-breaking projects . Successful partnerships have been flourishing at Begbroke since 1999 . Begbroke is closely integrated with Oxford University ’ s science and technology departments , and is a conduit for knowledge and technology transfer between researchers and entrepreneurs .
Begbroke Science Park lies five miles from Oxford city centre and provides a mixture of office and laboratory space to house University research facilities and hightech businesses . It is home to around 20 research groups across different academic departments and approximately 30 high technology start-ups .
Begbroke maximises links between academic and industry site users through the hosting of industry-facing networks and services .
There are links to the University of Oxford Saïd Business School , which offers soft skills training , and Oxford University Innovation , the university ’ s research and technology commercialisation company , as well as the Medical Sciences Division .
Begbroke is key in the Oxfordshire Knowledge spin , and fundamental in Oxfordshire ’ s innovation ecosystem .
Spaces available at Begbroke Begbroke offers a variety of office and laboratory space , ranging in service level according to the users ’ needs . These include fully-serviced , partially-serviced and unserviced offices , plus wet or dry laboratories . The space is flexible , so in most cases can be easily converted to suit individual user requirements .
The Centre for Innovation and Enterprise ( CIE ) building delivers the fully serviced property offer and has recently expanded with the opening of the Innovation Accelerator . The centre offers a mixture of ground and first floor wet and dry laboratory and office spaces which have been designed for maximum flexibility in use .
The partially-serviced and unserviced property is provided in a range of other buildings , all of which offer lab and office accommodation .
Across the entire science park , we offer flexible agreements with negotiable notice periods , which enable companies to expand into more space as and when required .
