Brownrigg is working with universities,
campus, business and technology
park operators, and investment groups
to develop and evolve Science and
Technology Parks across the UK.
Together we are creating environmentally
sustainable campuses to promote better
research, improved innovation, greater
interaction, and improved campus life.
By working at a macro to micro scale,
using both brown and green field sites,
and redeveloping outdated Parks, we have
been able to deliver highly valuable
consents for the science and innovation
industry. These include the masterplan
design and delivery of 20 independent
science, research and innovation buildings
with support facilities across the new
Harlow Science Park; the reinvigorating of
Cambridge Science Park with the design
and delivery of 380,000 sq ft of office,
laboratory and technical workspace across
five buildings; the new HQ campus for
ARM on Peterhouse Technology Park,
which will see 200,000 sq ft of BREEAM
Excellent campus buildings complete in
2018; and the new Naval Combat
Unique selling point
By integrating commercial and advanced
technologies expertise with award-
winning town planning, workplace
strategy and interior design, our clients
are provided with a seamless and holistic
approach on their schemes, from the
initial masterplan through to planning,
detailed design, space and workplace
analysis on occupier and employee
requirements, to final fit-out and furniture selection. Our Design Research Unit’s new
Flexible Laboratory Concept provides
design options and flexible configurations
to suit the future needs of growing
research companies. Whilst our Advanced
Technologies Sector is leading the way in
the global demand for technology
intensive buildings for life sciences,
manufacturing, data, research and energy.

Our expertise ranges from providing
facilities for growing new businesses who
wish to co-locate on university campus
land, through to masterplanning,
designing and redeveloping parks that can
accommodate the largest of headquarters
for the science, research and technology
sectors. Our work in the pharmaceutical
sector includes headquarters and research
buildings for Lilly, Novartis, Becton
Dickinson, Johnson and Johnson, Celgene,
NHS Bowl Cancer Screening Laboratories,
BAE, and Quintiles.
