Centre The Queen Mary BioEnterprises Innovation Centre (QMB), based in London E1, is a
modern early- and late-stage incubator for science and technology companies and
is the culmination of a four-year project between Queen Mary and the GLA. QMB is a
wholly-owned company of Queen Mary University of London and was developed to
promote London as a world-class bioscience cluster – and to attract and retain the best
scientific talent and intellectual property driven science firms in the capital. The Centre

The Centre is presently the largest
fitted‑out commercial laboratory space
in London. Accommodation is available
in suite sizes that vary from 600 sq ft
upwards. The flexibility of the centre’s
floor plan means that space can be
easily reconfigured to meet a tenant’s
needs. Basic features include sealed
floor coverings in the laboratories,
sinks, carpeted floors in offices, and
large ceiling voids to accommodate a
tenant’s bespoke air-handling needs,
e.g. fume hood ducting.
Why the QMB Innovation Centre ?
The QMB Innovation Centre offers
reconfigurable laboratory and write-up
space and flexible leases. The Centre
also facilitates access to Queen Mary
Innovation (QMI), which promotes
enterprise and innovation across Queen
Mary. QMI’s expertise in technology
transfer, investment, marketing, and
business development can bring

significant benefits to the Centre’s
tenants, e.g. academia-industry
collaborative projects.
