The Quadrant is an established modern development situated at the entrance to
Abingdon Science Park, offering accommodation within a mixed business and science
based community whilst also being a short walk to Abingdon Town Centre and its
amenities. Arranged in four blocks within an attractive landscaped environment, the
buildings are two storey with their own self-contained entrances. Originally constructed
for R&D occupation, with good floor-to-ceiling heights and solid floors, the buildings
lend themselves to both office and R&D use, with the layout of the scheme allowing
for both vertical and horizontal division.
The Quadrant totals approximately
75,000 sq ft (6,967m 2 ) of accommodation
and was originally developed with
flexibility in mind, allowing for a range
of occupational uses, including light
assembly, R&D/lab space as well as
more traditional office uses.
A recent refurbishment programme
has been undertaken resulting in
improvements being made to both
available accommodation and the built
environment, with typical specifications
now including new ceilings, lighting,
and combined heating/cooling systems,
together with comprehensive
refurbishment throughout with new
floor coverings and decorations; specific
occupier fit-outs can be catered for,
subject to terms. The scheme has enjoyed
considerable success in the 14 month
period leading up to this publication
with in excess of 50,000 sq ft (4,645m 2 )
let or committed, including a key letting
to PsiOxus Therapeutics Ltd.
The Quadrant’s location allows
access to a range of local amenities
including the adjoining White Horse
Leisure Centre, popular river walks, and
Abingdon Town Centre, with its wealth
of bars, restaurants, and shops.
The location also allows easy access
to the Cotswolds, Oxford, and Thames
Valley towns, with good road and rail
access. It is roughly equidistant
between Oxford and Didcot Parkway
mainline railway stations as well as
being only 2.4 miles from the A34
Abingdon, enabling fast access to the
motorway networks, airports, London,
and Birmingham.
Abingdon is at the heart of the UK’s
growing international space cluster and
Oxfordshire’s Science Vale community,
which houses Europe’s largest
concentration of multi-million-pound
science research facilities, underpinning
the county’s leading position in
advanced engineering and life sciences.
