Manchester Science Park MSP’s Manchester Science Park – located in the heart of Manchester’s Innovation District, next to the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, and CMFT – provides flexible office, laboratory and workshop space to innovation-driven businesses at every stage of growth. Manchester Science Park is undergoing a huge transformation programme which will see the campus expanded to 1m sq ft over the next ten years to meet demand. The new 70,000 sq ft Bright Building, due to open summer 2017, will provide additional office and lab space, as well as a new restaurant, fitness studio, and conferencing facilities, all designed to encourage the generation and sharing of ideas amongst the on site community. Bright Building will be home to Mi-IDEA (Cisco’s new digital innovation centre) and CityVerve (the £17m Internet of Things city demonstrator project). Cit yl abs Citylabs is one of the only developments of its kind in the UK. Currently showcased as a 100,000 sq ft biomedical centre of excellence located on the CMFT campus, it is in the heart of Manchester’s Innovation District and part of the largest clinical academic campus in Europe. Citylabs represents a stronger relationship between the NHS, academic science communities, and industry, and is strategically aligned with the NHS’ “Innovation, Health and Wealth” agenda. Its location on the CMFT campus means companies based at Citylabs have direct access to specialist clinical facilities and expertise from researchers, clinicians, and procurement teams based in the hospitals. Citylabs is currently undergoing a £60m expansion to create Citylabs 2.0 and 3.0, providing additional space for health and medical technology businesses to grow and co-create new health products,
