Imperial College London ’ s new White City Campus is a new international research and innovation district in west London . The Campus will be a centre of discovery and innovation , bringing together students , academics , businesses , entrepreneurs , and the local community to work , share ideas , and turn cutting-edge research into benefits for society . The Translation & Innovation Hub ( I-HUB ) is one of the first buildings to open on-site . The 13-storey building will support the commercialisation and translation of research and innovation – co-locating start-ups , entrepreneurs , and major corporations alongside Imperial ’ s academic community . At White City , Imperial is creating new spaces and opportunities for SMEs , start-ups , spin-out companies , and entrepreneurs to co-locate alongside the College ’ s leading researchers at every stage of their growth .
An inspirational place for research and business One of the world ’ s leading universities , Imperial College London has a reputation for excellence in science , technology , engineering , medicine , and business . The campus is already home to leading companies such as Mapi , Autolus , and DNAe .
At the southern part of the Campus , Imperial College London is currently developing plans to create further research , innovation , and business space , alongside new homes , a hotel , leisure and cultural facilities , and public areas for people to meet , mix , and engage with Imperial ’ s work . As the plans progress , Imperial intends to create temporary flexible office and lab space at the south site , offering high-growth companies and existing ThinkSpace customers the opportunity to co-locate with Imperial and benefit from its wider innovation ecosystem .
