CLIMATE AND LANDSCAPE
A large part of Ukraine is located in a temperate continental climate, while the south (for example, the Crimean Peninsula) - a marine subtropical climate zone. Air temperature amplitude range from 25 ° C in Lviv to 30 ° C in Starobilsk. Prevails in the country also continental rainfall distribution with a maximum in the warm period of the year. Annual rainfall decreases from the north west (600 mm) southeast (400 mm). Ukrainian landscape consists mainly of steppes and uplands; to the west of the country extend Carpathians and on the Crimea - the Crimean Mountains.
