In issue two of ARena magazine, we introduced UKAR’s approach to ‘Assisted Voluntary Sale policy‘ (AVS), a forbearance solution where a lender provides support to enable a customer to sell their property voluntarily – which can often be a suitable alternative to repossession. ANDREA CLAPHAM Specialist Collector Financial Hardship Team UKAR Where other debt forbearance options haven’t been possible, AVS can offer a smoother way to close down an account and allows a customer to sell their property in the most supportive way. The AVS process allows a customer to remain in their property until the sale goes through and UKAR can help to keep costs and upheaval to a minimum. Andrea Clapham is a Specialist Collector in UKAR’s Financial Hardship Team, which specialises in exit solutions, and has been working with the company for six years.
