Sunparks Masters
Scott Mitchell secured victory in the Sunparks
Masters when it was held in the Belgian holiday park
on the weekend of 23rd and 24th November.
Having come through the early rounds without incident the
England international went on to claim a 4-1 victory over in
form Dutchman Wesley Harms in the last 16.
The quarter finals saw Mitchell claim another impressive
victory as he overcame another Dutchman in the form of
Pieter Miedema, before a 2-0 set victory over Jamie Hughes
set up a mouth-watering final with treble World Champion
Martin Adams.
Mitchell claimed a 3-0 sets victory in the final, although
the match was not as one-sided as it may have appeared
at first however with the leg score being 9-5 in favour of
Mitchell.
In the ladies event Sharon Prins of Holland claimed a 2-1
sets victory over her countrywoman Aileen de Graaf to
secure the title, meanwhile Maarten-Dirk Woord claimed
the boys event and Sharon Jansen secured the girls title.
