BDO German Open

Geert de Vos defeated Stephen Bunting by three sets to one in the final of the BDO German Open , but the points collected by Bunting for finishing second were enough to keep him top of the pile when it comes to Lakeside qualification .

De Vos had earlier defeated Jeffrey de Graaf , Jim Williams and Maik Langendorf on his way to a victory which sees him on course to qualify for back-to-back Lakeside World Championships , meanwhile Bunting ended the challenges of Kenny Neyens , Christian Kist and Martin Adams on his way to the final .

In the ladies event Deta Hedman came through tough matches with Eileen de Graaf and Trina Gulliver before defeating Sharon Prins 2-1 in sets in a close final . Hedman retains her spot at the top of the rankings and has all but ensured Lakeside qualification .

BDO Polish Open

Paul Jennings defeated Jeffrey de Graaf in the final of the Polish Open , securing valuable points as he bids to reach Lakeside .

In the ladies event Deta Hedman made it back-to-back tournament victories with a win over Donna Rainsley in a closely contested final . Hedman has pretty much guaranteed her Lakeside qualification and is surely on course to secure a record points total in the BDO Ladies Invitation Table .
