Premier League: Week 10 Photo: PDC/Lawrence Lustig With the field narrowed down to eight players following ‘Judgement Night’ in Cardiff a week earlier, the Betway Premier League roadshow moved on to the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on Thursday 10th April, with Raymond van Barneveld and Peter Wright facing the prospect of playing two games in one night. For van Barneveld things couldn’t have gone any better as he picked up victories over Dave Chisnall and Wright, whilst the Scotsman suffered consecutive defeats, falling victim to Gary Anderson before his loss to van Barneveld. In the night’s other action Phil Taylor continued to pick up points, securing a victory over Adrian Lewis to move into the top four, whilst Michael van Gerwen also remained on course for the play-offs as he defeated Robert Thornton. Raymond van Barneveld 7-5 Dave Chisnall Raymond van Barneveld picked up the first of two crucial wins on the night as he took on a Dave Chisnall who was playing with much more freedom having survived into the second phase of this season’s competition. Barney started the brighter, racing into a 3-1 lead during the early stages before Chisnall struck back with a 73 checkout in the fifth leg and an 11-darter in the sixth to levels things up at 3-3. Barney however, was in fine form and he had soon restored his two leg cushion at 5-3 and he never looked back despite continued resistance Photo: PDC/Lawrence Lustig
