possibility, whilst the winner will be looking to kick on and move back
up to what they must feel is the rightful place in the table.
Peter Wright has continued to impress, moving onto five points from his
three games and maintaining his unbeaten record. There were some
who doubted him before the tournament began and indeed many that
still do, but for me he is a real contender and based on form to this
point I see him making the playoffs at least.
Meanwhile the middle of the table is, perhaps rather predictably,
becoming a battleground, with a whole host of players on 2, 3 and 4
points all looking to kick on and make the playoffs. Whilst Taylor and
Whitlock remain in the bottom spots any of these players are under
threat, with this season’s league shaping up to be the most hotly
contested yet.

Michael van Gerwen has, perhaps unsurprisingly, also been in top form
and this showed no signs of abating here in Belfast. The Dutchman tops
the table and is looking good to stay there for the foreseeable future
as he looks to defend his crown.
