Dart Locker’s recent experiences
with talking to customers has led
them to embark on the radical
decision to bring a range of three
barrels from Powercore Darts, an
Italian manufacturer, to the UK
market place for the first time, an
undertaking that has been a long
time in the planning as Mackenzie
explains:
“We tested the market with
Powercore Darts last year with
their steel tip range with great
results and so we decided to
explore the chance of launching
a brand new range of darts that
would benefit the UK market
place and its players.”
“With help we asked approximately
250 players of County standard
and above to tell us what they
were looking for in a barrel, things
such as weight, balance, design,
grip and of course set up.”
“The 3 barrels that have been
launched are the direct results
“Powercore have located the grip
in different areas of each barrel
to suit all kinds of players they
have even included a ghost grip to
the bull nose of the Monza dart.”
Even the naming of these new
darts was an extensive process!
“We thought long and hard about
names for the barrels and in
keeping with an Italian theme we
have decided to name them after
famous Italian race circuits that
are Monza, Mugello and Imola.”
And the team at Dart Locker will
not be resting on their laurels
either, they have plans to bring a
clothing range and are looking to
bring new ranges of products from
across the globe.
