Michael van Gerwen suffered a first defeat of the campaign, whilst Peter Wright moved to the top of the table after an impressive victory over Adrian Lewis. Phil Taylor finally got off the mark, defeating Simon Whitlock to leave the Aussie languishing at the foot of the table without a point to his name. The Scotsman landed a third maximum of the match during the third leg which he took on double sixteen, before securing the fourth to move 3-1 in front.
