Premier League: Week 4
The Betway Premier League roadshow headed north of the
border for the first time this year, with the newly opened SSE
Hydro in Glasgow the venue for a great night of darting action
that saw the table really begin to take shape.
Michael van Gerwen suffered a first defeat of the campaign, whilst
Peter Wright moved to the top of the table after an impressive victory
over Adrian Lewis. Phil Taylor finally got off the mark, defeating Simon
Whitlock to leave the Aussie languishing at the foot of the table without
a point to his name.

The pair shared the opening two legs on throw, but from then on in it
was all Wright. The Scotsman landed a third maximum of the match
during the third leg which he took on double sixteen, before securing
the fourth to move 3-1 in front.
Wright continued his good form on doubles, hitting a 104 checkout, his
fifth double from six attempts, to move further in front and he did not
relent as he went on to take the match 7-1 to overtake Michael van
Gerwen at the top of the table.

Peter Wright took full advantage of the support he received from the
Scottish crowd as he reeled off six straight legs to defeat Adrian Lewis
and remain unbeaten through four weeks.
