It has been an exciting start to the school year in primary with many old and new faces happily engaging in our stimulating PYP learning environment.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is constantly challenging us to improve and embrace change. It is a very special year for us as our school engages in a process of self-improvement through the IB evaluation. Our teachers are hard at work examining all facets of our programme to help us build a better school. With our focus this year on teaching, learning and well-being, we have changed our assembly format into a personal, social and physical experience that has engaged our children in different ways that invite reflection, interaction and movement.

Parent Partnerships

For these assemblies, we have not invited audiences, however, coming up on 2nd November we will have a special music assembly to which all will be invited. We look forward to seeing you there.

On the 14th September, we enjoyed our first parent workshop which guided attendees through the key features of the IB-PYP. As it was offered in mother-tongue languages, many of our parents were able to gain a greater understanding of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) philosophy and further their insight into how an inquiry and concept driven curriculum framework is delivered in the classrooms. We trust that, along with this newfound knowledge, our parent community will feel inspired to find out more and embrace benefits of a nurturing learning community.

Our next parent workshop will be on the Open Day on 9th November and will focus on Mathematics. We look forward to seeing you there!
