Year 3 Students visit the Rainforest
After much exploration and inquiry into the Rainforests of the World during our “Sharing the planet” unit, the Year 3 students took a journey into the Rainforest at the Guangzhou Botanical Gardens. The students found themselves in a very hot and humid environment and soon learned that it would be quite a challenge living in a rainforest. They explored and identified many of the plants about which they had been learning. Some students, however, were disappointed not to find animals in the rainforest. It was an enjoyable field trip and one which will be remembered for a while to come.
