December 2017

Through the AOC Programme on Friday afternoons we strive to establish an environment in which learners appreciate and exercise their skills, responsibilities and talents. Opportunities are offered to enrich, challenge and develop each unique child whether their interests lie in culture, visual art, movement, technology or sport. A great way to end a busy week.

My sincere thanks to the primary team of Positive Young-at-heart Professionals who make learning exciting, bringing joy into the classroom every day and turning ordinary days into extraordinary opportunities.

We wish our UISG Community a special vacation and safe travels.

UISG proudly host the 2017 German Teachers’ Conference for educators from across China attended. Mr Dirk Lechelt from the German Consulate General Guangzhou opened the meeting along with our Head of School, Dr Michael Wylie.

The focus was on teaching and learning practices within international school programmes, the discussion of student competency levels and the exploring and exchanging resources. Mr. Richard Hopp, an expert on second-language learning (Deutsch als Zweitsprache) from the German School in Shanghai, shared richly how to support multi-lingual students. Ms Katrin Hertel and Ms Beate Maia were our very professional UISG conference facilitators.
