Helping Others in Need

Hopeful Hearts is an organization run by a small group of locals and expats who raise funds for children with life-threatening heart conditions. Several UISG parents dedicate their time to raising funds to support families in urgent need and we at UISG are privileged to be able to help. Dropping coins and notes into the Homeroom Collection Boxes is one way in which children learn to think empathetically about others and to care about the challenges families face. Being Caring is an important Learner Profile and we acquire these values through action in word and deed.

During August and September an awesome amount of 14,885.50 RMB was raised by the K-Y6 homerooms. The Top Ten Hopeful Hearted Homerooms were announced at the Primary Assembly on 2nd November when Mrs Laura Bullard from Hopeful Hearts shared their charity’s appreciation. Year 5 Red followed by Year 5 Yellow and K Red were the top three collectors. The donation boxes are on display in homerooms until early December so please help us help others.
